How MasterCard SecureCode Works



Step1: When cardholders are on the checkout page, they must enter their SecureCode in a separate browser window before their online transaction can be authorized

Step2: In seconds, the bank confirms it is the true cardholder performing the transaction

Step3: The additional security introduced with the password prevents misuse of the credit card. Eveni gets explicit evidence of an authorized purchase (authentication data) all with minimal cost impact and time investment.
